On May 30, 2024, the CPSC published a direct final rule to update 16 CFR 1223, the safety standard for infant and cradle swings(including combination swings). The rule incorporates the latest version ASTM F2088-24(Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Infant and Cradle Swings) with no modifications. It will become effective on September 14, 2024, provided the CPSC does not receive significant adverse comments by July 1, 2024.
